Some basics regarding quantities of carbohydrate and hydration intake that an athlete needs to think about and plan, and how this can be achieved by using a strategy of taking gels, bars, and drinks at different concentrations during the event, and also look at when to take energy/hydration on board in relation to time during the event.

The Biomechanics of Running Injuries
The presentation will look at the underlying causes of running injuries, examining the mechanisms behind the most common sports injuries.  Clifton will then offer six tips on 'how to become a better runner'.  The question and answer section at the end of Clifton's presentation will give you the opportunity to draw on the thirty five years running experience Clifton has, including his twenty one year experience of treating athletes.
